Typical energy cost savings of 5-10% are achieved by fitting active vacuum degassing. This applies to all heating and cooling wet systems by improving thermal transfer performance through the removal of dissolved gases.
Although the site had previously fitted degassing units, without the performance, scheduling features and reliability of Hydrun HY-D, the original intent had not been realised until we fitted Hydrun HY-D. Since fitting the HY-D and our associated magnetite filtration unit, the MAGNus, we find excellent system water quality and well-maintained, effective distribution systems when we return for routine servicing.
