SmartPressure came to the rescue by being able to replace a competitor’s failed spill & fill pressurisation unit (major control system fault) with our own SmartPressure Hydrun HY-P unit within a very short time frame and at a substantially lower cost.
Because our Hydrun HY-P pressurisation units can interface with competitors’ expansion vessels, as well as our own diaphragm-free tank and sealed vessel types, we only needed to provide our own weight cells to allow a seamless connection and utilise the parts of the system that were not unserviceable.
The Media City 18 Megawatt district heat system is a large installation that is critical for the buildings, homes and businesses it feeds. The client required zero disruption during the installation, and to meet that demand, we installed a temporary pressurisation unit and spill tank, with a temporary interlock circuit (which we closely monitored throughout the course of works). This ensured there was no service interruption.It also meant all works could be completed in normal working hours, which represents a significant cost saving in itself.The works were completed in 4 days, and the system has been running smoothly since its installation.Should any issues arise, we have a technician on 24/7 standby ready to help.Retrofitting pressurisation systems makes sense financially as it is cost-effective and reduces downtime.
